There was no escape.
A retreat from Canberra to the coast for the long weekend brought no escape. The holiday house next door was occupied by a tribe wearing black and white jumpers and the good old Collingwood chorus really did go on forever.
The South Coast blues festival seemed appropriate but the backwoodsmen and women not actually in stripes were feral enough looking to qualify. It is a miserable holiday for a Tasmanian with youthful memories of Darrel Baldock.
